Yang Yong-Hyeon was one of the five Captains of S.U.C. He is first introduced alongside Lee Ji-Yoo at a bar and later became ally to Yoo Ji-Gun.

Appearance

He is a slim person with well shaped muscles. He cuts his hair short on the sides while on the top he directs it to the back. He always wears square framed glasses.

When in combat he wears a special scales gauntlet on his left arm.

Personality

He is always calm and was never seems to lose his temper. This explains his nickname "Cool Guy". He is generally observant as he was able to find a counter-measure for the Spirit-Crushing Fist after experiencing in the second fight with Shi-Woon.

As stated by himself, he is a person of the Murim before he is a captain of the S.U.C. This explains both his honest character, and that he sticks even to self imposed rules, despite the consequences. He admires courageous people, such as Lee Shi-Woon, though he doesn't admit it to himself.

S.U.C... a New Power That Defies the Murim World's Order Makes Its Appearance!!

Stood up inside a bar beside Lee Ji-Yoo, he stares at his phone until she askes him is something wrong. Yong-Hyeon mentions that his call cut off. She asks him who it was and he tells her it was the Fatty they sent to Nine Dragons High School. Which makes Ji-Yoo ask him how much longer they're gonna keep Chang-ho around as he showed his face after his last match. He reveals they are sending him back, until a confused Ji-Yoo questions him. He tells her that they've raised a hunting dog, shouldn't they send him out into the hunting grounds.

S.U.C's Next Prey is Lee Shi-Woon?!

On the phone to Lee Ji-Yoo, she informs of the meeting between Lee Shi-Woon and Chang-ho. He tells her there's no need to report everything, contact him if there's something important.

Sat in Ji-Yoo's car alongside her. When she mentions seeing a feet technique. Yong-Hyeon says she must have seen it wrong as his Ki-Center is broken. She claims she didn't see it wrong and according reports he declared he's going to show them the real martial arts of Goomoonryong. When Yong-Hyeon asks are they fighting. She denies it and says running away again.

Viewing Shi-Woon fight against S.U.C soldiers. Ji-Yoo says she was right mentioning he can do it all. When Yong-Hyeon asks him to explain about using martial arts. As Chang-ho interrupts declaring they aren't done yet. Yong-Hyeon decleares he will take care of it and moves behind Chang-ho. He grabs him by the neck and informs him his time is up and orders the soldiers to take him to the car. As the police arrive Yong-Hyeon remarks that they were slower than he thought and tells Ji-Yoo to go head as he wants to talk with Shi-Woon and tells him to follow him.

Stood on a building rooftop he asks Shi-Woon about the view but he questions his actions. Yong-Hyeon asks why would he object, and questions if separation between the Murim and the normal world would be what his master wanted. Shi-Woon denies it and calls it a lie. Yong-Hyeon says if he thinks it's a lie he'll have to fight them and win. Shi-Woon says he'll fight if that's the only way and rushes towards him. He strikes his chest but Yong-Hyeon responds by swinging his right bicep around his neck and knocks him down to the floor then forcefully pokes Shi-Woon's forehead. As Shi-Woon gets up and attacks, Yong-Hyeon dodges the attack and says he understands why the head wanted to recruit him. Hearing sirens in the background he looks down on the street and claims he’d better wrap things up and tosses a disk towards Shi-Woon. Congratulating him, he explains its usage and starts to walk away. When Shi-Woon asks about their match. He turns around and tells him if weren't for the head's order, he would have tossed him over the side of the building.

Lee Shi-Woon Starts a New Training...!!

On the phone to Lee Ji-Yoo he mentions he saw her message and questions it. As Ji-Yoo explains the opponent is Yoo Ji-Gun and its the perfect chance to catch him. He advises her to give it up until she reminds him of her enemy and asks will he help her. He agrees to help her and asks for her location.

Abilities

Master Martial Artist: As a captain of the S.U.C, Yong-Hyeon is a high level Murim-In. When Kwon Jae-Kyu saw the fight between him and Lee Shi-Woon, he stated that Yong-Hyeon is undoubtedly a master and thus believed he would be able to easily defeat Shi-Woon though this was proven wrong.

High Observation Skills: After his second fight with Shi-Woon he realised how his Spirit-Crushing Fist works and was able to counter it in their third fight. This ability is probably due to the fact that he always keeps his calm and is able to concentrate.

Techniques

• Spinning Dragon Outburst Strike (Hweh Ryong Bal Gyek): An Inner Power technique in which the practitioner circulates Ki through his body and releases it through his fist at the same time he extends his hand while twisting the fist into position.

• Phantom Steps: During his second fight with Lee Shi-Woon he used Phantom Steps. According to Shi-Woon they are fake and just look similar to the Phantom Steps of Han Chun-Woo.

Equipment

• Gauntlet: Yong-Hyeon always wears a gauntlet on his left forearm whenever he goes into battle. The gauntlet is very durable as he uses to block attacks from Shi-Woon though the latter managed to break through it along with his left arm during their second fight. During his final fight against Shi-Woon he was seen using a gauntlet again.

Allies

• Soldiers Under Command: He was a member of the group and one of the 5 captains.

• Lee Shi-Woon: There has been direct confrontation between the two several times. But he helped him in the Seoul Tower incident.

Enemies

• Yoo Ji-Gun: They are enemies since Ji-Gun's purpose is to crush S.U.C. They have also confronted one another a couple of times.

Trivia

• He and Yoo Ji are the only two members that have defected from S.U.C.
